After 30 years of design experience in both Australia and in a partnership with C C Chan Architect in Sarawak, Malaysia, Megan Chalmers has relocated to Perth, WA.

Megan graduated from University of Newcastle, NSW with a B.Sc.(Arch), B. Arch and M.Arch. After working with NSW Public Works Department, she moved to Sydney, working in Conservation and Heritage. Upon her arrival in Sarawak, Malaysia, she worked with a local practice on the landmark Kuching Waterfront Project while completing her Masters thesis on the resettlement of longhouse communities. She began the partnership with C C Chan of C C Chan Architect in 1999, which continued until they returned to Australia and she founded m:cc desiGn in 2018, which has been rebranded to Chalmers & Co Design in 2020.

Chalmers & Co Design's aim is to provide clients with exceptional design services. We create architecture that respects the place, by using locally sourced green materials and interacting with surrounding buildings and landscape. Our aim is creating designs that fulfil cultural requirements while using modern materials and services.

We believe in listening to the client in order to design a building they will find inspirational and practical.
